Ademon "Edmond" Mitchell Rideaux

On Sunday, the 24th day of March 2024, Edmond departed this life at the age of 78 in Harbor Hospice Care facility.  He was born on November 16, 1945, to Adam Rideaux and Pauline Thierry Rideaux in Roanoke, LA.

Ademon dedicated his life to the Calcasieu Parish Animal Service, serving more than 20 years. In 1990, he retired, a testament to his hard work and commitment. His retirement years were filled with his passions, gardening and hunting down the best deals at farmers' markets and seafood houses. He had a knack for finding a good deal, a skill he cherished. He also loved hunting and fishing. He loved all his family, and a good conversation would lock you into a minimum hour-long phone call.

He leaves to mourn his loving and faithful wife, Gloria Rideaux of Lake Charles, LA;  two sons, Edmond Mitchell Rideaux, Jr (Evonne) and Nathan Joseph Francois both of Lake Charles, LA; one daughter, Christien Eve Francois of Dallas, Texas; three bonus children, Tamica Francois Tassin and Roy Anthony Francois (Lacresha) of Lake Charles, LA and Phedra Francois Stansell (Renford) of Dayton, Texas; three sisters, Eleanor Willingham of Augusta, Georgia, Eva Hunter (Andrew Hunter) of Dallas, Texas and Evelyn Ware-Jackson of Beaumont, Texas; 37 grandchildren; 16 Great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Pauline Rideaux; his daughter, Karen Rideaux; his son, Leonard Paul Rideaux; his grandson, Kaden Francois; two sisters, Carolyn Johnson and Bernice Phillips and two brothers, James Rideaux and John Simon.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., and Memorial Service at 12:00 noon, at Kings Funeral Home.
