On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, God needed another Angel and He invited Alexis to join Him. Alexis gladly accepted the invitation at 1:05 pm. She walked in heaven and was greeted by her loving mother, Emelda Hardy Johnson.

Alexis Johnson, 39, was born October 19, 1986, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Steven and Emelda Hardy Johnson. Alexis, a life-long resident of the Lake Charles area, attended public school in the area and was a proud graduate of Sulphur High School.

Alexis let her light shine in many ways throughout her life. Her greatest pride and joy was her beautiful daughter, Kendra, who was her world. She loved the Lord, and she regularly attended Christian World Ministries. Alexis worked as a housekeeper at L'Auberge Casino as well as being a dedicated sitter and caregiver for elderly citizens until her health prevented her from doing so.

Alexis was preceded in death by her mother, Emelda Hardy Johnson, grandfather Russell Johnson, Sr., and sister-in-law, Amber Johnson.

She leaves behind a legacy that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her and will miss her. As Alexis' journey came to an end, she leaves to cherish her memory one beautiful daughter, Kendra Bias of Lake Charles; her dad, Steven (Sharon) Johnson of Lake Charles; three brothers, Jermain and Steven Johnson of Portland, Oregon, and Jonathan Charles of Lake Charles; good friend, Kenneth Bias of Lake Charles; grandmothers, Edna Johnson of Lake Charles and Mary Hardy of Westlake; and a special aunt, Shalissia Frank of Lake Charles, whom she loved dearly. She also leaves a special cousin/friend, Kimberly Walker of Lake Charles, whom she shared a sisterly bond with and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A celebration of Alexis' life will be held on Tuesday, December 23 at 11:00am in King's Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation with family and friends will begin at 10:00am. Cremation services following funeral have been entrusted to King's Funeral Home.
