Allen M. Babineaux was born to the late Alfred and Theresa Helaire Babineaux on Decemcer 8, 1927 in Carencro, Louisiana.
As an infant Allen was brought into the Catholic Church were he received all the sacraments the church offered. He was a devoted Christian who lived life according to his faith.
He met the love of his life Maureen Rochon. Of this union five children were born. Allen's life purpose was to do his best for the Lord as well as his family; a man of great strength, courage, wisdom, and humor. He was a loving husband, father, and an inspiring grandfather, and a great-grandfather, as well as a helping neighbor, and friend. We thank God for the love he gave us all.
He was employed by the Greater Lake Charles water Company for over 40 years. He was a self-employed landscaper.
he was faithful and dutiful to his obligations on usher board as head usher, opening the church and depositing the weekly collection for over 52 years. He was a member of the Father Hennigan Assembly Number 6 Fourth Degree Knights of peter Claver's Council and also The Men Against Violence weekly prayer group.
On Monday, August 27, 2001, at *:33 p.m., God in his infinite wisdom saw that he was getting weary, so he came and stood beside him and whispered, "Allen. come and rest. Get your heavenly reward..."
He leaves the gifts of love, faith, patience and courage to his devoted wife, Maureen R. Babineaux, four daughters, Karen Lewis, Deidra Babineaux, Vanessa B. DeVille, Raquel B. King, all of Lake Charles, La., three sisters, Antoinette Arceneaux of Carencro, La., Avalia Simpson and Theresa Wilts, both of Lafayette, La.; two brothers, Antoine Babineaux of Carencro, La., and Milton babineaux of Duson, La.; six grandchildren, six great-grandchilsren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Allen G. Babineaux; one sister, Evelyn Arceneaux; his mother-in-law; father-in-law; brother-in-law and son-in-law.
