Alonzo Forrest, Jr., 60, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, April 12th, 2026 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with his devoted wife of twenty-eight years, Thelma Prince Forrest, by his side. Alonzo was born on May 4th, 1965 to the union of Mattie Watson Forrest and Alonzo Forrest, Sr.

Alonzo was an Environmental Services Supervisor at Turner Industries in Sulphur, Louisiana. Some of his hobbies included fishing, hunting and traveling.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Alonzo Forrest Sr. and Mattie Watson Forrest.

Left to cherish his precious memories include his wife; Thelma Forrest of Lake Charles, Louisiana, sons; Alonzo Evans of Covington, Louisiana and Aaron Forrest of Amarillo, Texas, siblings; Carl and Dana Hubbard of Dallas, Texas and Carmela and Solomon Toney of Hammond, Louisiana, grandchildren; Case Evans and Choyce Evans, biological mother; Gloria Richardson, along with a host of relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Alonzo’s honor. Visitation will be held at Kings Funeral Home on Saturday, April 25th, 2026 from 9:00 AM until the start of Service at 11:00 AM. Services entrusted to King’s Funeral Home.
