Angela was born to Bernadine Gauthier and Pervis Royster, Jr. on December 3, 1961 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She began her formal education by attending Ralph Wilson Elementary School, then Pearl Watson Middle School, and graduated from Washington High School. While in school, she excelled in Softball, Volleyball, and Track & Field. She continued her formal education by attending McNeese State University and eventually graduated from Delta Business College.

On July 12, 1980, Angela married the love of her life, Kevin Robertson, Sr. and they became the parents of six wonderful children. Angela united with Refuge Temple Ministries in June 1980. She worked diligently in the Special Events Team, Administration Team, and Usher Department. Additionally, she coordinated the church's monthly activity calendar.

As an industrious employee, Angela worked in various positions at Resthaven Nursing Home, Women and Children's Hospital, Oak Park Nursing Home, Moss Regional Hospital, and Toys R Us. For the last four years, she serves as a Key Manager at Office Depot.

Angela was preceded in death by her parents, father, Pervis Royster, Sr. and mother, Bernadine Gauthier.

Her survivors include her husband, Kelvin Robertson, Sr., six children: Daphine (Jonas) Bush of Houston, Texas, Yolanda Robertson, Valencia (Corey) Goodwin, Kelvin Robertson, Jr., Eric Robertson, and Erica Robertson, all of Lake Charles, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Crysta Robertson, Jaida Bush, Ethan Bush, Caiden Goodwin, and Caleigh Goodwin; five brothers, Pervis Royster, Jr., Sidney (Lorena) Royster, Anthony Royster, Albert (Eva) Royster, Sr., all of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Dwight "Skit" Royster of Arlington, Virginia; four sister, Sharon (Michael) Porter, Frances Briscoe, Carmen Royster aan Pamela Royster, all of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
