Anita Griffith Singleton was born on July 17, 1924 to the late William Ferdinand Granger and Eunice "Old Mom" Delahoussaye in St. Martinville, Louisiana. Even with all the joy she brought to them they knew one day she must return to the Gift Giver, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On July 12, 2015, the angels called Anita home at the age of 90. Anita accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. She was an active member of New Testament Apostolic Holiness Church until her health declined. She was affectionately known as "Mom" to her church family. Anita was a strong believer in the power of prayer. She was a true prayer warrior and prayed for all who were in need. Anita was an employee of the Calcasieu Parish School System for over 30 years and retired as a Custodian at Fairview Elementary School. She never shied away from hard work and did whatever was necessary to take care of her family. Anita thoroughly enjoyed praying, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. The life of Anita Singleton was a testament of her faith, love, and family commitment. She touched many lives with her heart of gold.
