Apostle Linston Tripplett, Jr. , 85, departed this life on Thursday, October 8, 2020, in Shreveport, LA.  He was born April 26, 1935, to Apostle Linston Tripplett, Sr., and Everlina Antwine Tripplett in Long Leaf, LA.  He worked at Dresser Minerals as a foreman for many years until his retirement.  As a recording artist, he formed the Tripplett Singers that consisted of his wife, as lead singer, Gloria Mae Moton-Tripplett, his daughter, Gladys Faye Tripplett-Sapp and Brenda Davis as background singers and his son, Linston Tripplett, III, as musician.

He established Miracle Deliverance Church in the early 70's in Mossville, LA.  In 1972, he founded Full Gospel House of Deliverance in Orange, TX, where he remained Pastor for 45 years.  Ten years ago, he opened a second location.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Hyacinth Gopaul-Tripplett of Lake Charles, LA; his children, Gladys Tripplett-Sapp, Brenda Davis and Linston Tripplett, III, all of Iowa, LA; his siblings, Hester Tripplett of Alexandria, LA, Carol Hall Tripplett and Brenda Raney both of Oakdale, LA; 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Apostle Linston and Everlina Tripplett; his wife, Gloria Mae Moton Tripplett; two brothers, Bobby and Alvin Tripplett and three sisters,  Bernstein, Geneva and Rae Tripplett.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Full Gospel House of Deliverance, 1400 N. 14 ^th Street, Orange, TX, Pastor Richard Morris, officiating.  Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery in Westlake, LA, under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
