Arthur "Tute" Grant, 80, departed this life on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, in Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was born on March 25, 1935, to Walter and Eva Collins Grant in Opelousas, Louisiana. He worked as a security officer in Manhattan, New York.

Mr. Arthur Grant leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Arthur Grant, Jr., of Houston, TX; three daughters, Patricia Grant of California, Mery Serket Anite Fnut of Virginia and Lisa Ann Grant of New York; one brother, Edward (Mary) Grant of California; four sisters, Cecelia Grant, Ella Mae Ware, Helen Grant and Delores Grant; a dedicated grandson, Michael (Heather) Girven, three  beloved nieces, Weleanora Denney, Shaunice Guidry and Shaunda Guidry, 18 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Eva Grant; three sisters, Sally Handy, Hazel Williams and Lucille Drayton and one brother, Wallace Grant.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at 9:00 a.m., and Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m., at King's Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the directions of King's Funeral Home.
