Austin Malveaux, 85, departed this life on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at his residence in Lake Charles, LA. He was born December 31, 1932, to George Malveaux and Charlotte McClenan Malveaux in Palmetto, LA. He worked in the construction industry as a supervisor and became self employed until his retirement.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 34 years, Theresa Malveaux; his children, Jacqueline Hammond (Roger) of Palmetto, LA, Randy Malveaux (Monica) of Lake Charles, LA, and Stephanie Stuckey of Illinois, Joseph Chatham (Susanne) of Dallas, TX, Cynthia Olivier (Joseph) of Houston TX, Terry Chatham of Beaumont, TX and Douglas Chatham of Lake Charles, LA; his siblings, Lonnie White of St. Louis, MO, George Malveaux (Lucille) of Opelousas, LA, Elnora Brown of Shreveport, LA, Jean Stevens of Lake Charles, LA, Robert Malveaux of Opelousas, LA; 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Charlotte Malveaux; his first wife, Helen Malveaux; two children, Marilyn Lawson and Milton Chatham; one son-in-law, Byron Lawson; four brothers, Elghan, Herbert, Albert and Anthony and one sister, Cecile Dalcor.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at 8:00 a.m. at King's Funeral Home and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Father Wayne LeBleu, officiating. Burial will follow in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
