Bernard Carrier , 46, of Lake Charles, La., departed this life on March 31, 2023. He was born on December 19, 1977, to Orelia M. Cezar and Lloyd Henry Carrier at Moss Regional Hospital. He was reared in Lake Charles, Louisiana and is the First-born child of four children. He attended school in Calcasieu Parish and is the Father of one daughter.

Growing up, Bernard was a pleasant child with a gleam in his eyes and a smile that would light up the room. He was taught the ways of Christ at an early age and had his first Holy-Ghost experience at Miracle Deliverance Church under the auspices of Bishop Johnny Clophus,Sr. Bernard discovered that he was gifted in his hands and was musically inclined. He developed a love for the drums. He also developed skills to cut hair on the side from time to time. As the boy became a Man, there were many attacks sent against him from the enemy but his Mother, and family kept him covered in prayer. As a result, He was able to experience many moments of repentance and restoration throughout his brief lifetime. No matter what he was going through, he NEVER stopped smiling. Though his death was sudden, we remain grateful that God's mercy endures forever.

Bernard is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Lester & Hazel Mae Cezar; paternal grandparents: Joseph, Sr. & Elaine Carrier; ten Uncles: Ronnie, Clifton, Tommy, Eddie B., Jimmy, & Odum Cezar; Joseph, Jr. & Russell Carrier, Min. Richard Artis,Sr., & Deacon Joseph Scott; four Aunts: Velma Cezar, Mammie Alfred, Bertha Tyler, & Bernadine Kennedy.

He leaves to cherish his memory his Mother: Missionary Orelia M. Cezar; his Father: Lloyd Henry Carrier of Oberlin, La.; two Sisters: Jessica Carrier & Stephanie Carrier, all of Lake Charles, La.; one brother: Reginald (Summer) Carrier of Carrollton, GA; one Daughter: Kayla Carrier of Lake Charles, La.; Seven Aunts: God-Mother Min. Nettie Artis Scott of Lafayette, La.; Min. Irene Fontenot of Rayne, La.; Joyce Cezar of New Orleans, La.; Helen Carrier, Francis Carrier both of Oberlin, La.; Linda Carrier of Beaumont, Tx.; Carleen Carrier of Lake Charles, La.; Five Uncles: Dan (Mary) Cezar of Alexandria, La.; Michael Paul Fontenot,Sr.of Rayne, La.; Michael Carrier of Lake Charles, La.; Clement Alfred of Oberlin, La.; Min.
