Bertha Pitre, 84, was born December 21, 1928. She was a native of Basile, LA but lived most of her life in Lake Charles, LA. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Bertha Pitre passed away on June 21, 2013 surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; Vinton J. Pitre, one daughter; Peldia Pitre, and one granddaughter; Sherolyn Pitre. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters; Cecelia (Pitre) Johnson and Linda Pitre, one son; Nathaniel Pitre, one brother; Dallas Deville all of Lake Charles, LA., one sister; Helen Young of Lafayette, LA., four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
