Betty Jean Busby passed away in Cypress, TX on March 18, 2023, at the age of 85.  She was born on December 2, 1937, in Eunice, LA to Ned Toussaint and Louella Darby.  She was a Loyal, Baptized, Servant of Jehovah God and remained faithful until her death.

Betty loved hats and she collected them.  She had over 30 hats and she recognized each one of them, so if you tried to wear one of them without her knowledge, she knew it.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Busby; one  brother, Vincent Touson; two, sisters, Mary McCoy and Teresa Perrodin; one daughter, Zinda Busby and one granddaughter, Erica Burney.

She leaves to cherish her memories through her daughters, Beverly Busby of Lake Charles, LA, Debra Ballestros of Cypress, TX, Myra Busby of Katy, TX, Kathy Busby of Baytown, TX, Trudy Busby of Houston, TX, Jennie Isaac of Crosby, TX, Tracy Busby of Cypress, TX and adopted daughter, Tremicka Taylor of Lake Charles, LA; one brother, Louis Toussaint of Eunice, LA; 15 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Her favorite scripture was Revelations 21: 3-4, " With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
