Betty Jo Richard , 71, departed this life on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, in Houston Methodist West Hospital. She was the only child born on January 14, 1946, to the late Henry Joseph Hughes and the late Mamie Daniel Hughes in Port Arthur, Texas. She worked at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

She leaves to mourn her children, Michael Ray LeBlanc (Charline), Rhonda LeBlanc-Russell (Jacques), Raquel Patrice LeBlanc, Agon Elliott LeBlanc, and Christopher Daniel Richard; her grandchildren, Darcale Nikole LeBlanc, Kayla Patrice LeBlanc, Briana Michel LeBlanc, Nicholas Jjemba Isaiah Michael LeBlanc, Dre' Vaughn Giovanni LeBlanc, Elijah Zacharee LeBlanc, Leyden Micah LeBlanc, Destiny Jeremiah LeBlanc, Mikala Bettyjo LeBlanc; one greatgrand, daughter, London Nikole Willmore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Joseph Hughes and Mamie Daniels Hughes.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017, at 8:00 a.m. and Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home, Rev. Allen Collins, Hillcrest Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Orange Grove Graceland Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
