Betty Ann Thomas , 50, departed this life on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, LA. She was born on July 4, 1966, to Otave and Mildred Barket Thomas, in Lake Charles, LA.

She leaves to cherish her memories, 4 Godchildren, Noah Thomas of Iowa, LA, Christina Edwards of Opelousas, LA, Rita Trahan of Elton, LA and Rock Rideaux of Opelousas, LA; seven siblings, Dora (Arthur) Lewis of Basile, LA, Judy Trahan of Elton, LA, Stella (Clifford) August of Basile, LA, Joyce Thomas of Opelousas, LA, Aubrey (Elaine) Thomas of Eunice, LA, Jeffery Thomas of Oberlin, Billy (Beverly) Thomas of Oberlin, LA; one brother-in-law, Donald Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, other elatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otave and Mildred Thomas; three sisters, Gloria Alfred, Margaret Brown, and Mary Strahan; two nieces, Shalane Edwards and Wanda Lewis and two uncles, Russell Trahan and Joseph Thomas.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Christ Belief in Soileau, LA, Pastor Milton Thomas, officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Kinder, LA under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
