Birdie Marie Bruce , 77, departed this life on Monday, September 5, 2016, in Phoenix, AZ.  She was born on June 25, 1939, to the late Eugene Hardy and Elmeda Marie Hebert Hardy in Abbeville, LA.

She leaves to cherish her memories her sister, Geraldine Hardy Scott, six nieces, two nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Elmelda Hardy; four brothers, James Hardy, Eugene Hardy, Jr., Larry Hardy and Alvin Hardy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery in Westlake, LA, under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
