Bobby Eugene Bernard , 69, departed this life on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, LA. He was born on August 17, 1948, to Joseph Bernard and Velma Villian Bernard in Lake Charles, LA. He was well known throughout the community as an entrepreneur. He was the owner and operator of Bernard's Upholstery and Appliances for 40 years.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Debra Bernard of Mather, CA, Angela Bernard of Stockton, CA, Barbara Bernard of Stockton, CA, Aquetta Bernard of Lake Charles, LA and Darion Thompson; four grandchildren, Leslie Jazene Bernard, Robert Maynard-Bernard, Serenity D'Michelle Thompson and Heaven Ji'Selle Thompson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Velma Bernard.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 11:30 a.m., and funeral service at 1:00 p.m., at King's Funeral Home.
