BOBBY G. GUILLORY was born February 27, 1949, in Beaumont, Texas, to the late Merving and Ethel M. Guillory. They later moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana, at the age of 15. He was a graduate of W. O. Boston High School in 1968. He was a Vietnam veteran who entered the United States Army on July 2, 1969. During basic training, he qualified as marksman on his assigned M-16 rifle. In February, 1970, Sergeant Bobby Guillory was sent to Vietnam and assigned as a stevedore, supervising loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing military ships. In February, 1971, he departed Vietnam and after a 30 day leave he was to Landstuhl, Germany, where he served with the 164th Military Police Company. His awards and decorations include: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Meal and Marksman. Sgt. Bobby Guillory was honorably separated from the United States Army on February 2, 1972. He worked for Lyondell Basell for 34 years as a pipefitter and retired May, 2001. He leaves to cherish his memories, his current wife, Mary D. Guillory and former wife, Laura January; four sisters, Gay Harold of Houston, TX, Jeanette (Jimmy) January and Joann Guillory of Lake Charles, LA and Diane Graham of Dallas, TX; one daughter, TaVonya (Shannon) Touchet of Lake Charles, LA; four sons, Carlos Wells, Eric (Samantha) Wells, of Houston, TX, Joseph (Shelly) Guillory, and Bobby Lada of Lake Charles, LA; his mother-in-law, Freda Minick, of Church Point, LA; three sisters-in-law, Diana (Napolean) Spiller of Hitchcock, TX, Sherry Kaye Minick and Mary Paul of Church Point, LA; one brother-in-law, Vernon (Willie) Semien of Church Point, LA; nine grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
