Brenda was born to the late Eddie and Gladys Slate on May 9, 1950, in Oberlin, La.

Brenda was called home Sunday, May 21, 2023, at her home, in Lake Charles, La.

Brenda graduated from Adams High in 1968.  She was employed many places throughout her life until she found her calling as a Respiratory Therapist.  She worked at many local hospitals.  Brenda retired from Christus St. Patrick's Hospital in 2012 and returned back to the work force in 2016 to Cornerstone Specialty Hospital until her health began to decline.

Brenda was united in marriage on October 24, 1970, to Landry Cole.  To that union, two children were born.

Left to cherish her loving memories and many laughs, her husband, Landry Cole of Lake Charles, La, her son, Van Cole of Oberlin, La, her daughter, Bridghette (Marcus) Mitchell of Lake Charles, La, her favorite granddaughter, Mia Cole of Lake Charles, La, in-laws, nieces, nephews, Godchildren, relatives, and friends.
