Brenda Faye Payne

Brenda Faye Payne, 69, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on June 30, 2026, at Christus Ochsner St. Patrick Hospital. She was born on July 9,1956, to the union of Edna Mae Beverly and Raymond Payne. She worked at the Isle of Capri Casino and Hotel, and her hobbies included gambling and spending time with family.

Brenda was preceded in death by parents, Edna and Raymond Payne, and sisters, Sheryl Tankerson, Margaret Francis, Lillian Winford and Rosa Babineaux.

She leaves a lifetime of love and memories, and will be missed by longtime partner, Nathan Watson; brothers, Raymond (Shirley) Payne Sr. and Alfred (Sabrina) Payne; sisters, Gloria “Deanie” Rideaux and Esther Leblanc of Arlington, Texas, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM at King’s Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM in King's Funeral Home Chapel.
