Carl Dwayne Collins, 62, departed this life on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at his residence in Lake Charles, La. He was born on May 5, 1955, to the late Millard and Thelma Nell Washington Collins, in Lake Charles, La.

He was a graduate of Marion High School and received an honorable discharge from serving his country in the United States Army. He worked as an auto technician at Bolton Ford until his retirement. He loved fishing, playing cards and helping others. He had a sense of humor and was always making people laugh.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Sheila Collins; his children, Nathaniel Smith, Constance Lastrapes and Ebony Smith; his siblings, Randy Collins, Auddie Kay Collins, Kandy Collins, Bertha (Wayne) Collins-Auzenne and Penny Collins; eight grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Thelma Collins; one sister, Connie Griffin and two brothers, Marvis Collins and Millard Collins, Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., at King's Funeral Home.
