Carolyn A. Celestine-Gum, 61, of Lake Charles, LA, passed away in her home on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Ms. Gum was born in Lafayette, LA and raised in Washington, LA she lived most of her life in Portland, Oregon and the past twelve years in Lake Charles. She was graduate of Paul L. Dunbar High School and Portland Community College. She worked for the University of Portland in administrations. She was preceded in death by her father, Whitney Celestine Sr. and her sister Virginia Celestine-Griffin. She was survived by her loving mother; Mary Celestine one sisters; Annie Celestine-Bushnell, one brothers; Darrel (Valerie) Celestine Sr., and a host nieces and nephews.
