Obituary

Carrie Mae Love-King , "Cat", 62, departed this life on August 25, 2016, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Lake Charles, LA.  Carrie was born August 3, 1954, to the late Wylie and Mable Love.  She was the 6th child of eleven children.

She was a devoted Christian who accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior early in life.

Carrie had a great love for everyone, regardless of race or nationality.  She worked at Players Casino and Harris Casino in housekeeping and at Sam's Club as a cook and a baker.  Carrie attended New Covenant Faith Baptist Church until she departed this life.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her special friend, Elias Brown; one daughter, Francis B. Cole (Larry); one grandson, Michael King; one great granddaughter, Aubrielle King; one son whom she reared, Minister Carlo A. (Keisha) Love; four sisters, Barbara Anderson, Juanita Robert, both of Florence, AL and Sandra Myers of Hattiesburg, MS and Cynthia Carter of Lafayette, LA; five brothers, Raymond Love, Elvin Love (Linda), Michael Love (Debra) all of Lake Charles, LA, Willie Love (Jackie) of Lufkin, TX, Christopher Love (Wanda), of Houston, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wylie and Mable Love and one sister, Geraldine Armstrong.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at New Covenant Faith Baptist Church, Rev. Jimmy Stevens, officiating.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
