Celia Ann Trahan Castile , 67, was born in Fenton, LA, on February 26, 1954, to the late Willard and Mabel Trahan. She received Christ at the young age of 6 and was baptized at Greater St. Joseph Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Milligan. Her early years and education were spent in Fenton, LA, where she was a 1971 graduate of Fenton HS. She then joined the Job Corps where she met her then husband, Jimmie Castile. Together they had 3 boys, Steven Ray, Willard James and William James Castile.
She spent her young adult life as an Army wife living and visiting in Germany, France and many states in the US while raising her boys. She worked for many years in the Army's Commissary then as a security guard in California, Alabama and eventually ending her career at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in 2018.
She had a love and blessed talent for crocheting and she enjoyed making beautiful blankets for her family and friends.
On Monday, July 5, 2021, at 4:25 p.m., this beautiful soul transitioned from this life at Harbor Hospice of Lake Charles. She will be lovingly remembered by her very dear friend and fiancé, Gary Little; her three sons, Steven Castile of Fenton, LA, Willard Castile of Birmingham, AL and William Castile of San Diego, CA; three grandchildren, Lauren Castile, James Castile and LaMeisha Satchez; two sisters, Beverly Lee of Lafayette and Janet Joubert of Lake Charles; one brother, Patrick Trahan of Forth Worth, TX; two godsons, Carrington Sherman and Benjamin Trahan and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Mabel Trahan and one brother, Russell Trahan.
The woman that was affectionately known as "Momma Koolaid" to her son's friends and loved by everyone with her beautiful smile will be missed dearly.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Greater St. Joseph Baptist Church, 716 1 st Avenue, Fenton, LA 70640. Final arrangements entrusted to King's Funeral Home.
