HER BEGINNINGS

Our beloved Charlene Annette Frank was born to the parents of Charles and Thelma Celestine on April 3, 1974, in Lake Charles, La. On Tuesday, March 7,  2023, Charlene earned her angel wings In Accordance to God's sovereign plan, called her home. Charlene was affectionately called "Monk".

It was apparent that Charlene was a very special person. She had a passion for celebrating others, always remembering birthdays and special occasions. "Monk was inquisitive and definitely made her presence known in all positive ways.

Charlene did everything to make sure her mom was comfortable. She was a very obedient daughter, and without a doubt was a daddy's girl. Her personality warmed the hearts of many. Charlene kept it real.

HER EDUCATION AND CAREER

Charlene attended J. I. Watson School in Iowa, La., for elementary and middle school. She graduated with honors at Washington Marion High School in 1992. After completing  high school, she attended USL in Lafayette, later transferred to McNeese State University where she graduated with honors. After graduating from college she was employed at US Unwired where she met friends that became family to her.

She was employed at the  United States Post Office. She began her postal career as a rural carrier, where she took her job with pride, always willing to succeed and be a team player. No matter the task, she was a true go-getter.

Charlene was promoted in 2016 to customer service supervisor in Lake Charles.  Shortly after her promotion she transferred to Corpus Christi, Texas. She was a Tour 3 MDO as a Manager Of Distribution and Operations. She was responsible for all outgoing states clearance of dispatches from Corpus Christi Texas. She was Lean Six Sigma trained, Green belt trained and a graduate of the United States Postal Service MLP Managerial Leadership program. Although Charlene was a boss lady, she never made anyone feel less than. She loved people and always a Team Player and Leader. With treating everyone with respect, in return she was highly respected. She left a lasting impression. Dedication for her job and employees was evident and so admirable. Charlene's charming personality was amazing.

BLESSED LIFE

Her most accomplished goal and cherished blessing was the reward of being an obedient daughter. She was the apple of her parents eye. "Monk" made them so proud.  Always making sure her parents were Blessed with whatever they desired.  Ms. Thelma was her best friend forever, you could always follow them dining out, or trips to the beauty and nail shop, whatever Thelma wanted, Thelma got that and more.

Charlene loved traveling and she wouldn't have it any other way than to get in her detailed vehicle with Thelma who she loved and cared for and go where she wanted to visit and sightseeing.  Charlene was very independent.

Monk was the baby girl, although she loved her brothers dearly, she respected them, but sometimes, still did things the CHARLENE way. She loved life and people.

She was predeceased by her Baby boy, Deandre; father, Charles "Lottie" Celestine; grandparents, Vera Mae and Clifton Frank, Sr., and Arceneaux and Bertha Celestine. Last but not least her fur baby, Rico.

Charlene leaves in God's care to cherish her loving memory, her mother Thelma Celestine; siblings, Raymond and wife Sethretta Frank, Todd Frank, Natasha Beniot, Channel Celestine and Terry Henderson; Godchildren, Brannon Frank, Brayla Frank and Arianna "Mickey" Budwine;  Aunt Charlene or Nanny was loved by all her nieces and nephews; Brannon, Tralyn, Kironn, Keziah, Keturah, Kenisse, Brayla, Journey Frank, Kristin and baby Kynslee;  Aunts, Billie, Gwen and Pat, Aunt Georgiana "Meni", Aunt Agnes, Aunt Stella, Aunt Shirley, Aunt Poochie, Uncle Bim Celestine and Uncle Clifton Frank, Jr. She is also survived by her dear postal family of Corpus Christi, including the Plant Manager, Romi Britton and her Lake Charles Postal friends, other colleagues, family and friends.
