Charlene Arleia LeDeaux

October 8, 1945 — March 14, 2026

Las Vegas, NV

Charlene Arleia LeDeaux, 80, originally of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, passed peacefully, with her children and grandchildren by her side. Charlene was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on October 8, 1945. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, who preceded her in passing; Jasper and Mary Tillman, of Moss Bluff, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Alice Crosby; Siblings, Lloyd Skillman, James LeDeaux, Shirley Jones, Robert Crosby, Dewitt Crosby; and also, Lois Palms, who is a close friend that became a sister.

She built a life of purpose - placing her family at the center. She raised some of her siblings and their children. When her family fell ill, she was with them. Charlene was known for her fierce love for her children and family, and her deep faith in God. She was a warrior, protective and ready to do whatever it took to help her loved ones. A devoted caregiver, she cared, not only for her own children and grandchildren, but also for nieces, nephews, and countless others — opening her door and her heart to anyone in need.

She was a rare and beautiful soul whose presence will be deeply missed. Her legacy of love, faith, and strength will live on in all who knew her.

Charlene's gracious soul leaves a host of family and friends to mourn her. Her life partner Gary Hilburn; siblings Wayne Crosby and Yvonne Porter, and a sister in love, Gladys (Sunny) Munoz; her children, Therris Goode, Robert Robinson, Adolfo WIlliams, Kubura Johnson, and children through love, Gail Smith and Aleshia (Lacy) Cuterry; her grandchildren: Ashley King, Tyrell Goode, Kachaira Goode, Amarinya LeDeaux, Mariama Hilburn, Adolfo D. Your smile, engraved in our hearts,
The sound of your laughter, cemented into our minds.
You are in the morning light, in the warmth of a fresh cup of coffee,
In the stillness before the world wakes.
"I love you" is not enough, so instead,
I'll leave you with this -
Your soul is sprinkled throughout our lives and with us.
You'll live on through grief.
We will learn how to breathe again and with each breath we take;
Thank you for this profound love.
This beauty that lives beyond time;
The creation of this family, your spirit rests in us,
Lingers in our laughter, lives in our love, always.
