IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Wesley
Robinson, Jr.
November 26, 1929 – August 15, 2023
Our beloved brother, Charles Wesley Robinson, Jr. aka "C.W." or better known as "Uncle C" or "Bobcat" was born November 26, 1929, in Beaumont, Texas to the parents of Charles Wesley Robinson Sr. and Laura Ann Aker Robinson. He was introduced to Christ at an early age at his home church, Douglas Memorial C.M.E Church. Hailing from the Class of 1947, he was a proud graduate of Herbert High School recognized as the "Blue & Gold Panthers" in Beaumont. If you let Mr. "C.W." tell the story, he was an outstanding football player on the team! 😊 Mr. Robinson played four quarters during the game, and then during half-time, to play the clarinet in the marching band. Wow – what an undertaking – "Uncle C" did it all – from the start of the game to the end of game! After graduation, he was employed by Mobil Oil Refinery now known as Exxon Mobil then was later drafted into the United States Army on January 5, 1951. Serving two years in Germany, he returned to the States and continued his employment with Mobil Oil Refinery for approximately forty years of service. Mr. Robinson was also a life-long member of the American Legion. Unbeknownst to most, he was always giving everybody a nickname. He was a family man, a great provider who cared and loved his immediate and extended family.
Charles lived the majority of his life in the Pear Orchard side of town with his lovely wife Ruby Jane of sixty-three wonderful years, who has since gone on to glory. C.W. and Ruby Jane shared an unbreakable bond together, enjoyed fellowshipping with family and friends, and especially loved Zydeco dancing. From this union, two beautiful daughters were born, Jacquelyn Marie Robinson Cooper and Juliette Loree Robinson Senegal.
After a courageous fight with illness, C.W. passed away peacefully at his home in Katy, Texas surrounded by his lovely family on August 8, 2023. God received Charles Wesley in His loving arms to be with Him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wesley Robinson, Sr. and Laura Ann Aker Robinson; his wife Ruby Jane King Robinson aka "Nanny"; four siblings, Virgie Elma Preston, Leroy Robinson, Sr., Helen Geneva Lewis, and Thomas Robinson who all preceded him in death. His legacy of love and devotion to his family and friends will forever be cherished by his precious children, Jacquelyn Marie Robinson Cooper (Katy, TX) and Juliette Loree Robinson Senegal (Katy, TX), granddaughter, Jasmine Char'lane Senegal Williams (Jordan), (Katy, TX); great grandson, Jayden Joseph Senegal (Katy, TX); four nieces, Annie Laura Latham (Lynwood, CA), Etta Jesse Davis (Lynwood, CA), Sondra Elaine Blue (Destrehan, LA), and Beverly Robinson Hughes (Long Beach, CA); four nephews, Charles Lee Lewis (Haltom City, TX), Gregory Robinson (Portland, OR), Winston (W.O) Robinson (Los Angeles, CA), and Leroy Robinson, Jr. (Oakland, CA); a special cousin, Pshaun Rene' Hopkins (Houston, TX) that he stated with emphasis, "Pshaun Rene" when calling her name, and a host of family and friends
