Chester Leo Charles, Jr. , 74 departed this life on Monday, May 15, 2023,  in Lake Charles, LA.  He was born August 5, 1948, to Chester Leo Charles, Sr., and the late Margaret "Polly" August in Rayne, Louisiana.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 52 years, Sheryl Ann Charles; his father, Chester L. Charles, Sr.; his children, Temikia (Jimmy) Charles Strout, Natasha (Michael) Charles Guillory, and Omar Dominique Charles; his sibling, Darryl (Brenda) Charles of Lake Charles, LA; grandchildren, Jason Guillory, Sydney Strout, McKinzey Guillory, Noah Guillory and Mason Strout and a host of brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret "Polly" August and one sister, Kimmey Jean Napolean.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Combre Memorial Park under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
