Clarence Edward Charles, 64, departed this life on Thursday, January 5, 2023, in Kinder Retirement Rehabilitation Center in Kinder, LA.  He was born July 3, 1958, to Edgar Charles and Ledoshia Charles in DeQuincy, LA.  He worked for Sabine River and Northern Railroad Company in Orange, TX.

He leaves to cherish his memories his siblings, Linda Achan of Crowley, LA, Betty Charles of Lafayette, LA, Doyle Charles of Starks, LA, Vira Lee Morgan (William) of Easley, SC, Helen Joyce Whiteside (Harold) of Inglewood, CA, and Inez Moreland (James) of Prescott AK and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Ledoshia Charles; siblings, Edgar Charles, Jr., Wanda Fay Charles, Louis Holliman, Larry Holliman and Rose M. Harris and one nephew, Christopher Fontenot.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., and memorial service at 11:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church, 128  LA-109, Starks, LA, under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
