Obituary

On Tuesday, May 20, 2014 Clarence C.W. Stephens departed this life at the age of 70 in Christus St. Patrick's Hospital. He was born on n July 24, 1943 to the late Lewis Claiborne Stephens and the late Helen (Wood) Stephens in Longview, TX. He was an active Deacon and Trustee until he relocated with his job. Clarence was an Aero Space Mechanic where he built aircrafts, space crafts, and helicopters. He was employed with LTV, Vought, Bell Helicopter, and Northrop Grumman Aircraft. He was a loving father, grandfather, cousin, and friend. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife, Mary Charles Stephens; daughter, Valescha (Howard) Stephens; step-son, Christopher (Ashley) Manuel; grandchildren, Elexis, McKenzie, Morgan and Mycah Stephens, Christian Manuel, Aden Byrdsong; God children, Cortney Rose and Andre Granger; special sister (cousin), Avie London, Helen Cox, and Betty Brooks; sister-in-laws Mildred (Don) Davis, Francis (Bay Bay) Anthony, Linda Brown, Bernice (Calvin) Orphey, Dorothy Payne, and Audrey Sias; brother-in-laws, Carl (Ottie) Bowens, and Ronnie (Faye) Bowens, Howard Orphey, John Orphey, Terry (Shirley) Manuel; and first wife, Lois Bowens of Longview, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Clarence was preceded in death by his beloved son, Ernest and step-son, Marcus Charles; both parents, L.C. Stephens and Helen Stephens.
