Claudette Carolyn Amos Johnson, 87, departed this life on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at Camelot Brookside Nursing Home in Jennings, LA.  She was born October 27, 1933, to Leslie Theodore Amos and Violette Ward Amos in Crowley, LA.  She worked at her family-owned store, Amos Grocery Store,  Ross Headstart as a foster grandparent and was a caregiver to several families in the community.

She leaves to cherish her memories her cousins and caregiver, Errol "Toby" Ward, II and his wife, Raynetta of Jennings, LA, Jamesetta Ward Tate of Las Vegas, NV and Alana Ward Robinson and her husband, Oneal of Irving Texas and host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Violet Amos; her husband, Lennie Johnson; two aunts, Gladys Ward Turner and Vera Ward White; cousins, Constance Ward Lawrence and Errol and Marva Ward, Sr.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., at Union Baptist Church, 1014 S. Main Street, Jennings, LA.  Burial will follow in West Crowley Cemetery in Crowley, LA, under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
