Cleodis Brooks, Sr., departed this life March 20, 2010. He was born March 16, 1930, to the late Frank Brooks and the late Ella August Warfield.  He was a devoted and loving father, son, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather and friend too many.  God called him to his heavenly home on March 20, 2010, to serve as one of his guardian angels. He called Cleodis home because he was ready.

Cleodis leaves to cherish fond memories of a life welled lived, his wife, Georgia Mae Guidry Brooks; three sons, Quentin Moore Sr. (Linda) of Lafayette La., Cleodis Brooks Jr. (Joan) and Ivory Brooks of Lake Charles LA; one daughter, Quinella Brooks Gaskin (Donald) of Houston TX; two step-daughters Quintrella Smith of Lake Charles LA. and Dianne Brantley of Houston TX; one sister, Dora Brooks Johnson of Houston TX; one aunt, Isabelle Brooks Merritte of Spring TX; 27 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Brooks and Ella August Warfield; his first wife, Pattie Joe Brooks and his daughter, Romell D. Thompson.

His home going celebration is Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at King's Funeral Home and burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
