Cortez "Tezzy Bhoo" Deshawn Boston, 26, departed this life on July 4, 2025. Cortez was born to Nataki R. Boyd and Eric Boston on May 5, 1999, in Louisville, Kentucky. Cortez loved life! He spent most of his time gaming with friends, playing basketball, football, and swimming. He also loved spending time with his family, traveling, and listening to music.

Cortez leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Nataki R. Boyd of Spring, Texas; his father Eric L. Boston of Louisville, Kentucky; and his bonus daughter Makenzlee Williams of Dequincy, Louisiana. He also leaves his grandmothers Vivian Boyd (Dorothy Compton-Boyd) of Dequincy, Louisiana; Brenda Frazier of Louisville, Kentucky; his great grandfather Andrew Boyd, Jr. of Pass Christian, Mississippi; his brothers and sisters Naukira Boyd (Baytown, TX), Christari Morris (Louisville, KY), Kendrick Kaneki (Houston, TX), Keontra Kenemore (Houston, TX), Ken'nyia Kenemore (Houston, TX), Kyi'Ren Kenemore (Spring, TX), Eric Boston, Jr. (Louisville, KY), and E'Rontae Boston (Louisville, KY); niece Nakiya Boyd Thompson (Baytown, TX); nephews Vondez Gentry and Camarion Gentry, both of Louisville, Kentucky.

He will also be missed by his uncles and aunts: Andrew M. Boyd (DeQuincy, LA), Jeroy Boyd (Louisville, KY), Julian Boyd (Austin, TX), Laurence Johnson (Loveland, CO), and Marvin Boston (Los Angeles, CA); Gretchen Boyd (Louisville, KY), Elizabeth Gray Carrier (DeQuincy, LA), Rickkesha Moody (Louisville, KY), and Debra Holmes (Louisville, KY).

Awaiting him in Heaven are those that preceded him in death. They are his grandfather, Richard Gray, great grandmothers Dorothy Boyd, Susie Boston, and Edna Moody, and his uncle Corris Boyd.

Funeral services will be on Friday, July 25, at 12:00 pm at Evergreen Baptist Church of Dequincy, Louisiana. Visitation of family and friends will begin at 10:00am until time of service in the church. Eulogist will be Minister Brandon Harris. Cremation services will follow and have been entrusted to King's Funeral Home.
