It is with great sadness that the family of Cynthia Regina Fontenot Clophus announces her passing on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at the age of 61.

Cynthia will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Wilfred, of 43 years and her children, Wilfred, Jr. (Tiffany), Elridge (Tatiana), Phillip (Lydia), 14 grandchildren and seven siblings, Mark (Donna), Karl (Terri), Michael (Irene), Patrick (Alice), Paula (Craig, Sr.), Pamela (Rayvon) and Alice.  She also leaves to cherish her many memories, a host of Godchildren, cousins, in-laws, relatives and friends.

Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Augustine Fontenot in her birth home of Oakdale, LA.Her joys in life included watching her grandchildren play sport, cooking and sewing.  She had a heart for helping others and did so whenever called upon to do.  Cynthia became a born-again Christina at the age of 21 and was a faithful member of Highway to Heaven Fellowship in Sulphur, LA, under the leadership of Pastor Thomas Clophus.  She served in the Adult Sunday School class and was an active member of L.I.F.T. Auxiliary  (Ladies In Fellowship Together).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 9:00 a.m., and a Homegoing Celebration Service at 10:00 a.m., at Miracle Deliverance Church, Bishop Johnny Clophus, Sr., Pastor, 3940 East Burton Street, Sulphur, LA 70663.  Interment will follow in Miracle Deliverance Church Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
