Darrel LaShun Cook, (Shawn) 39, departed this life on Sunday, January 3, 2016, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, La.

He was born on May 14, 1976, to Daniel Ray Walker and Ruth Cook in Newellton, La.  He worked at Leonard's Food Quarters for many years.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Rosaria Raynelle Floyd-Cook; his mother, Ruth (Dee) Cook; his children, Gabriella Denise LaShaun Cook, Justin Sean Cook, Deviante' James Floyd, Tiphani Germaine Thomas; his nieces and nephews, Donavon Trevon Floyd, Alexus Me'Chelle Floyd, Hallie Nacole LeBlanc, Caderium Tavon Cook, Benjamin Jermaine Cook, Cordorian Montrell Cook and a host of other nieces and nephews; his brothers and sisters, Maria Cook and George Goldman of Winnsboro, La., Amie Cook and Curtis Rose of Newellton, La., Tamie and Joe Clayton of Grand Terrace, TX, Eric and Veronica Cook of Winnsboro, La., Wanda and Paul Parker of Richmond, TX, Noble Cook, Richmond Tx, and Conswila Cook, Newellton, La., and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Ray Walker.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. and funeral service at 3:00 p.m., at King's Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
