Darrel Celestine, Sr.

November 11, 1961 – October 18, 2021

On Monday, the 18 ^th day of October 2021, Darrel Celestine Sr., departed this life at the age of 59, in Lake Charles, La. He was born on November 11, 1961, to the late Whitney Celestine Sr. and Mary LaFleur Celestine. He worked at Celestine's Barbershop.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Valerie Bartie Celestine of 39 years; one son, Darrel (Michelle) Celestine Jr. of Denver, Co; one daughter, Tiereni Jade Celestine of Houston, Tx; his mother, Mary LaFleur Celestine; three sisters, Annie Jean, Catherine, and Angela Celestine all of Lake Charles, La; five brothers, Jimmy, Whitney Jr., Ronald, Perry, and Anthony Celestine all of Lake Charles, La; two granddaughters, Miley and Morgan; two Goddaughters, Laila and Laci; two Godsons, Kendrick and Donovan and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Whitney Sr., two sisters, Virginia and Carolyn and one Godson, Delvin Jr.

The family would like to thank special nurse, Regina Johnson and care helper, Delise White.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 11:30 a.m., and funeral service at 1:30 p.m. at Kings Funeral Home, 1611 Gerstner Memorial Drive, Lake Charles, LA.
