David Lee Harris, 66, departed this life on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at his residence in Lake Charles, La. He was born on December 11, 1948, to Jake and Bessie Harris in Beaumont, TX. David graduated from W.O. Boston High School and attended McNeese State University. He was employed with Reynold's Aluminum Plant and Louisiana Millworks. He served in the United States Army and Army Reserve. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Tammy Harris; three daughters, Pearl Clifton, Davelyn Harris-Baylor and Vivian Harris; two sons, David Bell and David Harris, Jr.; eight grandchildren, Cassandra, Keyvan, Aryana, Karin, Kennedy, Kentral, Nevayah and Mark, Jr.; one sister, Iris Lilly; two nieces, Alisha Victorian and Filisha Lilly and a host of relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Bessie Harris and one grandchild, Katrell Harris. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., and Funeral Service at 12:00 noon, at Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church, with Rev. Alvin Brass, officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
