David Chris Roy, age 59, departed this life on Friday, January 23, 2015, in his home. He was born on December 25, 1955, to the late Albert Lanny Roy and the late Julia M. Roy in Lake Charles, LA. Chris was a faithful servant of the Lord and a loyal son, brother, uncle, and friend. He exuded a sweet spirit and was a genuinely kind person. He was a dedicated worker as a math teacher, nursing assistant, and caregiver to his mother. Chris was a sports fanatic and a huge LSU fan. He leaves to mourn three brothers: Lanny Roy, John H. Roy (Elizabeth) of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Carl Roy of Houston, Texas; three sisters: M. Dell Stiner, Ruby R. Wharton (AC) of Memphis, Tennessee, and Priscilla Singleton (Billy) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Lanny and Julia M. Roy and a brother, Lebert Roy.
