Davis "Chuck" Goodly, 74, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012 in a local hospital. Davis was born on April 18, 1938 to Paul and Laura Guillory Goodly in Mamou, LA. Davis retired from PPG Refinery with 28 years of service, before that he worked for the Port of Lake Charles. He was a devoted father and husband and a hard worker. His garden was his passion. He had the best vegetables in town and was known by many people in the community because of his vegetables. Davis is survived by his life long partner and wife of 49 years Mildred Thomas Goodly. 3 sons Darrell Goodly, Jimmy (Sherry) Calvin of Lake Charles, LA, and David Dupree of Eunice, LA; 1 daughter Ezolia Ann Goodly of Lake Charles, LA; 1 sister, Maedora Noel of Mamou, LA; and 1 brother Paul (Polly) Goodly of Beaumont, TX; 6 grandchildren; Darien Auzenne, Mildred Goodly, Delayna Goodly, Amanda Minor, Romon Alfred Sr, Teaijuana Alfred, and 5 great-grandchildren; N'kia Crumb, Zavier Crumb, Jamel Banks, Ramon Alfred Jr, and Xavier Minor. He was preceded in death by his parents; Paul and Laura Guillory Goodly; 4 sisters; Leeana Frank, Martha Jeanice, Ruth Griffin, and Fanny Shillow; 2 brothers Marshall Goodly and Joseph Frail Goodly; 1 daughter Abigal Goodly.
