Dedrick Davon Johnson , 22, departed this life on Saturday, April 1, 2023, in Lake Charles, LA.  He was born February 17, 2001, to John Butler, Jr., and Dranika Faye Johnson in Lake Charles, LA.  He worked at Dairy Queen and loved basketball, listening to music and dancing.

He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, John Butler, Jr., and Dranika Johnson; grandparents, Adam Geyen and Zola Geyen, who raised him; siblings, Kedrick Geyen, Timaurius Johnson, Madison Guillory; two close cousins that he was raised with, Kalyn Johnson and D'Monta Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rita Geraldine Butler and one brother, Remington Butler.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Reeves Temple CME Church, 1400 Winterhalter, Lake Charles, LA.  Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Garden Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
