Delia Daisy Hernandez, born February 10, 1955, in Freeport, Texas, peacefully went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2024, surrounded by her family's love who loved her dearly.

Delia was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Juana Hernandez; her brothers, Miguel "Cool Daddy" Hernandez and Ray Hernandez, and her dog Bruno. We take comfort in knowing Daisy, her family, and Bruno are in Heaven together.

Delia leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She leaves behind her daughter Christina Garcia, and sons Orlando Garcia and Keith Betancourt and wife Sabrina. She also cherished her 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy and pride.  She also has three sisters and two brothers to cherish her memory.

Delia's life was centered around her love for the Lord, and her happiest moments were with her family, especially her brothers and sisters. She loves taking trips to Surfside beach, sewing, giving her time to church, leading many bible studies, singing Christmas songs, sitting in the backyard with her grandson Joshua watching the dogs play and the horse run. She loved Louisiana but knew one day she would be back home in Texas.

Delia will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love. She was a beautiful soul, whose legacy will continue to inspire all who loved her. Delia's love, laughter, and kindness will always shine bright in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute, Tx.
