Delia Kelly Shilow, 90, departed this life Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Delia was born December 06, 1922 in Welsh, LA. Mrs. Shilow was a former member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, where she served as a deaconess for 38 years and worked very faithfully until her health began to deteriorate. She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter; Jennifer Shilow White (Kenneth Sr.) of Lake Charles, LA., two sons; Nathan Wayne Shilow (Irma) of Houston, TX., and Warner Timothy Shilow (Dorothy) of Glendale, AZ., seven grandchildren; Cecelia Vital of Welsh, LA., Shonda Shilow of San Antonio, TX., Nathaniel Shilow of Houston, TX., Shalonda White of Richmond, TX., Kenosha White of Grand Prairie, TX., Kimberly White of Columbus, OH., and Kenneth White Jr. of Lake Charles, LA., six great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Funeral service will follow thereafter with Pastor Elmore Garner officiating. Final resting place will be Eastridge Cemetery in Welsh, LA.
