Derek "DJ" James Ogea , 40, departed this life on Friday, March 12, 2021, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.  He was born April 30, 1980, to Timothy Ogea and Jacqueline Reyes in Lake Charles, LA.  He worked construction and was self-employed.

He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Timothy Ogea and Jacqueline Reyes; four children, Remy Ogea, Harper Musser, Morgan Musser and Tristan Musser, all of San Antonio, TX; three siblings, Oval Baize, Lauren Baize and Destini Baize all of San Antonio, TX; Godparents, Dwayne Dies of Houston, TX and Lynn Ogea of Ragley, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Betty and Cecil Ogea and his maternal grandparents, Frank and Enola Reyes.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at King's Funeral Home.  Cremation has been entrusted to King's Funeral Home.
