Diamonte "Dee" Juan Lafanette was born August 31, 2001, to Sylvester Gobert and Christa Lafanette, and tragically passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, at the age of 23 years old. Dee worked at Taco Bell for many years and enjoyed listening to music, playing his PS5, and spending time with family and friends, especially his little brother.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his father Sylvester Gobert and his mother Christa Lafanette (Jewel Green), all of Lake Charles, Louisiana. He will also be missed by his siblings Sylvester Prudhomme, Seleste' Gobert, Shannon Prudhomme, and Jasya Green, all of Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Dee was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert Lafanette, Mary Lafanette, and Lawrence Gobert, as well as his uncle Herbert David Lafanette.

Visitation with family and friends of Mr. Lafanette will be held on Saturday, July 19, 10am-12pm, in King's Funeral Home Chapel. His funeral service will follow at 12 noon, officiated by Minister Dwayne Prudhomme. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery #2 under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
