Obituary

Dianna Marie Perry-Coleman was born on March 18, 1948, to Georgiana and John Perry in Lake Charles, LA.  She attended Washington High School and Grambling State University.  Her love for cooking brought her to the field of food service.  She was a cafeteria manager for Calcasieu Parish Schools for 20 years.  She later greeted patrons at Harrahs and L'auBerge Casinos with her dazzling smile.

She began visiting Mossville Truth Tabernacle UPC to hear her son, Dewayne, minister as Assistant Pastor and fell in love with this fellowship.  Later Mother Dianna was baptized in Jesus Name by her son; what an Honor that was.  She has been very faithful to this ministry and joined the Ladies on the Golden Girls Team.  Along with her sisters when they visited, Dianna has enjoyed many hours with MTT praying for her family, sharing the word of God and fellowshipping over breakfast or luncheon meals.  God continues to be a vital part of her life and it was so evidently displayed through her gift of sharing everything that she had with everyone she came in contact with.  Mother Dianna's only desire was to provide for her family and spend all of her time cooking on Holidays.

Dianna is preceded in death by her parents, John and Georgiana Perry; her daughter, Tracy LeDay and her brother, Larry James Perry.

Missing Mother Dianna and always in our hearts will be her two sons, Dewayne Prudhomme and Terrance Prudhomme; daughter-in-law, Paula "Sweet Pea" Prudhomme all of Lake Charles, LA; ten grandchildren, Sylvester, LaJonte, Qwentessa, Dewayne, Jr., LaDeja, David, Mariah, Taylor, Tyler and Shannon; 18 great grandchildren; her siblings, Bernadine Williams and Paula Perry of Fresno, TX, Juanita Perry-Hoffman of Houston, TX, Darrell and Belle Perry of San Mateo, CA.  She also leaves her nieces and nephews, Tonya (also her Godchild), Ronique, Matthew, Darrell, Jr., and Melissa; along with a plethora of family and friends.
