Bro. Doltry Joseph (Teet) Adams was born on May 26, 1932 to the now deceased Alton Adams, Sr. and Caroline Simon in Mamou, LA. On Thursday, September 26, 2013, God dispatched the angel of death to whisper Bro. Adams' name and called him home to his eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his parents; Alton Adams, Sr. and Caroline Simon, his six brothers; Alton Jr., John, Nolan, Linton, Albert, and Felton, and one sister; Clestine. He leaves to cherish his memories of a beautiful, fruitful, well lived Christian life, his wife of 51 years, and soul care giver; Rose M. Arvie Adams, his daughter; Olevia Malveaux, his granddaughter; Morgan Elizabeth Malveaux, his sister; Correne Jack, three sister-in-laws; Francis Joseph(Morris), Bertha Gallien(Daryl), and Diana Broussard(Felix), four brother-in-laws; Clarence(Rosile), Sherry(Drucilla), Eddie Arvie(Katherine) all of Lake Charles, LA., and Raymond Arvie of Opelousas, LA., and very close friends of Bro Adams; Lloyd and Veronica Plummer, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 05, 2013 from 8:00am - 11:00pm at Messiah Missionary Baptist Church with funeral services following thereafter. Burial will be at Combre Memorial Park under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
