Our Dear Mother, Dora Lee Guillory , 79, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.  A native of Mallet, Louisiana, Dora was born January 26, 1938, to Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Guillory.  She married and lived in Lake Charles most of her life raising her beloved family.  Gracious and gentle, Dora was always a lady.  She loved sincerely and unconditionally and was quick to share a kind word and an empathetic ear with everyone she met especially her family, friends, and neighbors.  She was loved, respected and admired by all who knew her.

Dora is predeceased by her loving husband, Kelly L. Guillory; her son, Anthony Malbrough; step daughter, Cindy Guillory Shorter; her son-n-law, Welton LeCompte; her parents, Melvin and Lillian Guillory; her siblings, Lucille Citizen, Sylvia Eaglin, Linda Fontenot, Clara Guillory, Dowell Guillory, Willie Guillory, Freddie Guillory, Burley Guillory, Lionel Guillory, and James Guillory.

She is survived by her children, Debra LeCompte, Linda Malbrough, step daughter, Kathleen Guillory, Ray (Catherine) Malbrough, all of Lake Charles and Stanley Malbrough (David Smith) of Houston, Texas; siblings, Mary DeJean of Lake Charles, Audrey (Robert) Jackson, Marjorie Craine (Edelano) of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Our Gratitude - The Family is eternally grateful for the constant care given by her medical teams at The Houston Methodist Hospital. We would like to give special thanks for all of their tireless love and constant care for mom and her family during her illness. They made her last months filled with love, kindness and compassion.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at 8:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
