Doris Gobert was called home on July 24,2015, at 6:33pm,at the age of 75. Doris was born on March 2,1940 to the late Marion Gobert Sr. and Aimee Fontenot Gobert, in Mallet, La. She worked as a Certified Dietary Manager at St. Martin DePorres Nursing Home in Lake Charles, La. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and served several other charities near and far. She leaves to cherish her memories 4 sisters: Mathilda Guillory of Jonesboro, Ga, MaeDell Bellard of Houston, TX, Aline(Allen) Orphy of Iowa, La, Mary Elizabeth (Perkins) Malveaux of Lake Charles, LA, one brother Elias Gobert of Orange, TX and a host of other family members. She was preceeded in death by her brothers, Steven Gobert, Phillip Gobert, Sr. and Marion Gobert, Jr. Doris was a matriarch of the family serving as a second mother, grandmother, advisor, and listener to all those whom she loved. The family would like to give thanks to the Medical Staff at Harbor Hospice Hospital, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Home Health 2000, AC Medical Transportation, and a very special thanks to Dr Michael Broussard. Homegoing services will be Saturday, August 1st, 2015 at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a rosary preceding at 9:40a.m. and entombment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
