Doris Malveaux Readore, 86 , departed this life on Sunday, April 23, 2017, in Houston, TX.  She was born on December 12, 1930, to the late Walter Malveaux and Orelia Thierry Malveaux in Opelousas, LA.

She was a homemaker who loved cooking.  She loved her sons and granddaughter.  She was a lifelong member of St. Henry Catholic Church and the Alter Society.

She leaves to mourn her twin sons, Gary (Rosa) Readore of Huntsville, TX and Gerald (Maxine Tan) Readore of Houston, TX; one brother, John Malveaux of Houston, TX; two sisters, Audrey Thibodeaux of Lake Charles, LA and Judy Pervine of Maryland; one grandchild, Grace Readore and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Orelia Malveau.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at King's Funeral Home and funeral service on Monday, May 1, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Henry Catholic Church, Father Arvind Minz, officiating.  A 2nd visitation will be held on Mondy, at 8:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens under the directions of King's Funeral Home.
