Dornell Mary Toussand , 86, departed this life on Friday, May 24, 2024, in Lake Charles, LA.  She was born September 29, 1937, to Mason and Eldonia Tezeno in Opelousas, LA. She resided in Lake Charles most of her life.  She was a member of Family Baptist Church serving as a Deaconess and the Mission Department.  She worked in food service as a cook until her retirement.  She loved to visit with family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memories her grandson, Elton Toussand, III; one sister, Bonnie Simmons; one sister-in-law, Mary Bell Tezeno; Goddaughter, Dianna Guillory and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mason and Eldonia Tezeno; her husband, Elton Toussand, Sr; two sons, Arnold Toussand and Elton Toussand, Jr; one grandson, Bradley Toussand; one sister, Hilda Tezeno Robinson and two brothers, Milton Tezeno and Pastor Melvin Tezeno.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
