Dorothy Ann Brooks by the grace of God entered into this side of heaven on January 13, 1943, to Vera C. Fuzee. She was the oldest of four children. Born in Port Arthur, TX and after moving to Lake Charles, La., Dorothy became a graduate of W. O. Boston Class of 1963. She passed away on August 28, 2015 in Christus St. Patrick's Hospital at the age of 72. After graduating from high school, she worked various jobs until she became ill in 1995. Dorothy was a friend to many and always "said what she meant and meant what you said".

Dorothy was the mother of two children: Gwendolyn B. Landry and Gregory D. Brooks. She will be sadly missed by her brothers: Alfred Fuzee, Jimmy (Dr. Beckie) Fuzee, multiple grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one godchild, six nieces, 4 nephews and a host of many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vera C. Fuzee; grandmother, Laura McDade Jones; grandfather, Ira Jones; great grandmother, Betty Tombs McDade; two sisters, Rosa Dale Fuzee and Pearl B. Brooks.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home and funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
